This will vary depending on your unique growth pattern and rate of hair growth.

Body hair grows in cycles, with each hair having its own growth phase, making it impossible to completely remove all hair evenly in a single treatment.

If you are new to waxing, you may need your initial treatments closer together, approximately three weeks apart.

With regular professional waxing, you can eventually extend the time between treatments as hair growth slows down. Typically, you should be able to space your appointments at intervals of four to six weeks.

For optimal results with minimal discomfort, we recommend the following:

• Exfoliate the skin in the waxing area the day before your appointment to improve grip and reduce the risk of ingrown hairs.
• Avoid over-trimming the hair. The wax needs some length to effectively grip. Your therapist can handle any necessary trimming.
• Cleanse the area thoroughly before waxing, but refrain from applying moisturizer, especially scented or perfumed ones. Arrive for your treatment with clean, dry skin free from products and fragrances.
• If concerned about wax potentially getting on your clothing, feel free to ask our staff for a disposable G-string and/or gown. While Leah’s Waxworks takes precautions, we are not liable for wax drips on clothing.

Here are some post-waxing care tips:

• Always apply a soothing gel or antiseptic cream to the waxed area.
• Avoid using fragranced soaps or perfumed moisturizers.
• Refrain from sweating excessively or engaging in vigorous exercise for 24 hours (skip the gym!).
• Opt for loose, breathable clothing and avoid anything tight-fitting.
• Avoid wearing pantyhose or stockings.
• If using sanitary pads, avoid those with wings to prevent chafing in the freshly waxed bikini area.
